Maduro 5 is the new line added this year to Cohiba’s range to join the renowned Clasicas and 1492s (Siglos).
It comprises three sizes all wrapped in dark, naturally fermented leaves that add a note of sweetness to the taste.
The largest is the Genios (Genius) measuring 5½”/140mm x 52 ring gauge, then comes the Magicos 4½”/115mm x 52 ring gauge, and the smallest is Secretos 4 3/8”/110mm x 40 ring gauge.
The first two are entirely new sizes that fit perfectly the new trend for shorter, fatter shapes and the third is the same format as the Trinidad Reyes, but without the pigtail.
The key to what makes all these cigars so special lies in the number 5, which flags the exceptional five-year aging process to which all their wrapper leaves are subjected.
Otherwise the binder and filler leaves are the same as the ones used for standard Cohibas – although that makes them pretty special anyway.
They come in dark boxes of 10 & 25.
Hoyo de Monterrey Petit Robusto
A new size within the Hoyo de Monterrey brand, eagerly awaited, is aimed to satisfy the most demanding palates.
This fine cigar measuring 102 mm in the length with 50 ring gauge will definitely become a sought-after cigar due to its dimensions and high quality.
Leaves used in the blend of this brand come from the Hoyo de Monterrey plantation which is located on the fertile banks of San Juan y Martinez River, right in the heart of the Vuelta Abajo region. The Hoyo de Monterrey plantation has a well-known reputation way before its name was first used on a brand of Habanos in 1865.
The flavour of Hoyo de Monterrey’s blend makes it an attractive choice for those who seek a delicate yet aromatic Habano that is lighter to the taste but with great elegance and complexity.

Edmundo, New Vitola from Montecristo
Habanos S.A. is launching Edmundo, the new vitola from Montecristo. The launching is going to take place in Paris on May, 13. Coprova, its Exclusive Distributor in France will be in charge of this remarkable event. Other Exclusive Distributors will be invited to the launching of Edmundo which is the first size to be added to Montecristo’s standard size range since 1971.
Launch of this cigar in UK is on May 17, 2004. It will be available from us from Tuesday, May 18, 2004
The Siglo VI is the first size to be added to Cohiba 's standard range since the world launch of the Siglo cigars in November 1993 at Claridges in London. The full range now numbers twelve cigars.
